Practical Everyday Spiritual Warfare, Simplified.
One of the many benefits of being saved and born again is the privilege of having our default setting be perfect peace and joy, our minds stayed focused on Jesus, and living daily "in Christ".
Philippians 4:7
"and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus."
We are so fortunate that we have that. Are you taking full advantage of your privileges "in Christ"? Are you living the abundant life or do you feel like your mind is constantly under attack? If so, you may need to engage in spiritual warfare, praying daily for the full armor of God for protection from the enemy, satan and his army.

Ephesians 6:10-18
The Whole Armor of God
"Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints—"
The blood of Jesus cleanses all unrighteousness. The antidote to the poison of sin, it washes us clean and is so powerful nothing evil can withstand the blood of Jesus. Proclaiming the blood of Jesus out loud drives evil away.
The name of Jesus yields miraculous power. Use it, and use it often.
Jesus said:
This is the essence of spiritual warfare, how we do battle: turning the negative into a positive in this ongoing internal and external battle between good and evil. It works like a continuum, where we need to come back to equilibrium through Christ, our peaceful new default setting since being born again. Sin is the thing that moves us backwards. We have a sort of "spiritual bank account". It's a type of continuum line. We either receive or grieve the Holy Spirit. When we do good things like spend time in the word, in God's presence and praise, repent and renounce sin, we move forward and receive more of the anointing of the Holy Spirit. When we sin or entertain thoughts and images of sin, we move backwards, grieving the Holy Spirit- losing some of him. When the Holy Spirit is too grieved he eventually leaves us all together and leaves us spiritually bankrupt, then we are especially vulnerable to all types of demonic attacks. The only way to then do battle is first to repent of the sin, and also truly forgive anyone who you feel angry or upset with. Only then will you be able to do spiritual warfare. 1 John 1:7-9
"But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin. If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."
Jesus said:

"If you ask anything in My name, I will do it."
Many Christians have no clue what spiritual warfare is, and have no idea what they are dealing with, or how to stop it. This is a step by step action outline plan that is useful in everyday life. We WILL be attacked and tested as Christians, especially those who are a threat to satan's kingdom. Many Christians ignore this reality to their own detriment and unnecessary suffering. It's up to you whether you want to believe and use this, but I dare you to test it, and try it yourself and see what happens. Are you living daily in perfect peace? If not, I'm telling you not only is it possible, but that's the way the God wants us to live. I lay my head down each night in perfect peace, because I engage in spiritual warfare whenever necessary. If you don't recognize attacks, you have already been defeated. Our focus should not be too much on the attacks and presence of evil, but more on the perfection and power of Christ, which defeats anything and everything evil.
1. RECOGNIZE attacks from the enemy on your mind and surroundings- recognize by FEELINGS of: unusual or intense fear, anxiety, self-doubts, anger, hatred, clumsiness, cursing, frustration, paranoia, suspicion----- recognize these for what they are- demonic spirits and attacks. You must be in control of your mind and bring it into subjection to Christ. You must drive out any demonic influence over your mind completely.
2 Corinthians 10:5
"casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ."
2. REPENT and RENOUNCE any sin you have committed, submitting to God's authority.
James 4:7
"Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you."
3. RESIST the attacks by RESPONDING DEFENSIVELY through PRAYER: Immediately move into prayer. Pray for deliverance in Jesus' name. Pray for the Lord to fight your battles for you in the heavenly places and He will.
1 Samuel 17:47
"All those gathered here will know that it is not by sword or spear that the Lord saves; for THE BATTLE IS THE LORD'S, and he will give all of you into our hands.”
4. RESIST by RESPONDING OFFENSIVELY using the WORD OF GOD: God's Word is referred to as the SWORD of the SPIRIT. God's Holy Word is deeply offensive and mortally wounding to demonic spirits. They can't stand it! They tremble and flee at the sound of it. Proclaim specific Bible verses OUT LOUD that apply such as:
Isaiah 54:17
"NO WEAPON FORMED AGAINST ME SHALL PROSPER,
And every tongue which rises against me in judgment
I shall condemn."
And every tongue which rises against me in judgment
I shall condemn."
Romans 8:37
"Yet in all these things I am MORE THAN A CONQUEROR through Him who loves me."
Hebrews 4:12
"For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart."
5. RETURN all attacks to sender, using the shield of faith, not accepting them.
5. REPEAT until you RECEIVE DELIVERANCE and begin to again feel perfect peace.
Then move into worship:
6. REJOICE. Begin to worship the Lord, resulting in joy unspeakable. Give and receive God's divine, powerful love and presence, walking in the powerful anointing, speaking and acting with boldness in Jesus' name.
7. REFILL with the Holy Spirit, growing in the fruit of the spirit, having God's favor surround us like a shield, and going out to share the gospel and help others receive deliverance. We are then able to speak life into dead situations, and be the light in the darkness, "the light of the world".
Matthew 5:14-16
"You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven."
I need to clarify that you will not be able to successfully engage in spiritual warfare if you are not yet saved. God is the one who delivers us, not ourselves. Our warfare prayers are useless if we are not born again. The next blog is for those of you who may be unsaved.
